Back to the 80s
 

SRM's origins come from a need for a solution: we've come across some problems with the BSA A10 crankshaft bushes.

Having found no existing solution, we've engineered our own and SRM was born

1987 - SRM buys Devimead 
Les Mason, an ex-BSA employee, found Devimead (DEVelopments In Motorcycle Engineering And Design) in the late 70s/ early 80s.

Devimead was the first company to offer the Needle Roller Conversion to the public and many other products to enhance the performance and reliability of the A50 and A65.

Our mission is to continue Devimead's work through innovation and continuous research to improve the old and develop new products.

The move to Aberystwyth
A few years after the purchase of Devimead, SRM moved to the Glan Yr Afon Industrial Estate outside Aberystwyth.

The extra space meant the company could expand into all aspects of Classic Bike Restoration and associated services.
